The story of Sophie and Scotty is the story of two very shy pets meeting. One day when he saw the dressed-up Sophie, Scotty immediately fell in love. He cautiously followed her everywhere, occasionally approaching her and trying not to scare her away. To what can lead polite courtship? An eyewitness will tell us about it.
How it all began
Sophie was rescued as a baby in 2014 in Boston. A few months later, she moved to her real home with a loving human mother. During one of her leash walks, Sophie inadvertently found a suitor. The owner recalls, «The first time Scotty spied us across the lawn, but kept his distance and tried not to give away his presence. Then he moved his vantage point to the driveway.
So, for several weeks, the interested cat secretly admired the girl of his dreams. At first Sophie was too busy and did not pay any attention to the admirer. Then Scotty became bold and began to approach closer. It was as if he was waiting for an invitation, but in vain. Sophie showed no displeasure, but did not hurry to make contact either. The situation did not oblige the cat to anything and she was fine with that.
It took several more weeks before the gentleman decided to formally introduce himself to his lady of the heart. Since then, no walk Sophie took was without the company of the redheaded boy. He appeared almost immediately and accompanied the lady for the entire promenade. There they were, sitting side by side, behaving as if they had known each other for a long time. It seems that Scotty’s serious feelings impressed Sophie!
Developing Relationships
Now when the mistress wakes up in the morning, the first thing she does is open the front door so that the furry princess can look outside. There the beautiful prince with a mustache is already waiting for her. They sit and admire each other — it’s a mandatory morning ritual. And during the day Scotty is usually busy repeating everything after Sophie. Together they walk and play and watch the birds. And when they part, Scotty follows every movement of his beloved from afar — just as he did two years ago.
Eventually, after a long period of courtship, the animals unequivocally declared themselves a couple. Every night, the two lovebirds are on guard duty on the hedge, and then they circle the yard. If you once meet black and white Sophie in a pink harness, you know that red-haired taciturn Scotty is somewhere nearby, literally just a few steps away.
