Claudia Cardinale, who recently turned 85, has long remained a symbol of beauty, with which even the most attractive men could not compare. She was once a real icon, inspiring dreams, but now, despite her years, she looks like an ordinary woman with wrinkles and age-related changes. Her mother tongue is French and at one time, she used to act in films where she had to memorise lines by ear, as French was not the main language in the filming process.
Having earned recognition, in 1957 Claudia was named the most beautiful Italian woman of Tunisia. Her filmography includes more than 120 projects where her partners included stars such as Marcello Mastroiani, Henry Fonda, Marlon Brando, Alain Delon, Jeremy Irons and Burt Lancaster.
But despite this, many still try to see her as the same young and charming woman who once captured the hearts of fans. The reality is that age has taken its toll, though, and Claudia is no longer the passionate beauty who used to be able to fall in love at first sight.
