The actress is now seventy-five years old. In addition to film sets, Barbara often appeared on the catwalks of famous fashion houses, and at the height of her popularity, she played the girlfriend of super spy 007, starring in the film alongside Roger Moore.
However, despite the film’s wild popularity, Barbara considered the script to be absolutely worthless, and herself, in the role of Bond’s companion, and Bond himself to be chauvinistic pigs.

The actress laid the foundation for her talented performance in this film by ‘practising’ in such films as Thunderball, Casino Royale, and Black Cockroach.
After playing a KGB agent, Barbara delighted fans in the comedy Cavemen. In this film, she starred alongside the legendary Ringo Starr, who played a Neanderthal man infatuated with women.
During filming, their on-screen attraction to each other grew into a real relationship, after which the couple got married. They have been together for more than four decades.
Incidentally, the actress was never a fan of The Beatles, unlike her sister, and only attended the band’s concerts to keep her company. Barbara preferred Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones.
Barbara and Ringo went through many difficult and even tragic moments together. One of them was Lennon’s murder, which was difficult for Starr, who only came out of depression thanks to his wife.

Together, they were involved in a terrible car accident, after which they miraculously survived, only fully recovering three years later. After that, they said a firm ‘no’ to alcohol and began to lead a completely healthy lifestyle.
Although the couple do not have children together, they get on very well with Ringo’s three children from his first marriage and Barbara’s two children from her first husband. The couple devote a lot of time and financial resources to charity, participating in numerous funds for those in need.
