Bridget Fonda marriages
Bridget has always been restrictive and closed regarding her private life.
”I don’t talk about who Im dating because when you break up, you wind up reliving it in the media,” she explained.
But we do know that her first serious relationship was with actor Eric Stoltz. The couple first met in 1986 and began dating four years later. After eight years together, they broke up – a decision that came as a surprise to many.
From 1999 to 2002, Bridget dated American country musician Dwight Yoakam. According to Bridget, she was happy with Dwight and planned to get married and settle down.

“Um, yeah, but for some reason I just can’t seem to do it. Well, obviously not. (laughs) Somebody said the people who don’t get married are can’t get married people. This was somebody’s theory. And so I thought I must be a can’t,” Bridget said.
After the relationship with Dwight ended, Bridget got engaged to composer Danny Elfman.
Danny had already made a name for himself before he met Bridget. He became known as the founder of the new wave band Oingo Boingo in the early 1980s.
They married in 2003 and, two years later, Bridget and Danny had a son together named Oliver.
It’s no secret that Fonda’s decision to build a family with Danny also played a big part in her retirement from acting.
Perhaps another event also made her reconsider path in life. That same year, in February 2003, Bridget lost control of her 2001 Jaguar while driving along the rain-slicked Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
The car rolled over an embankment and tumbled down the hillside in a terrifying accident that completely destroyed the vehicle.
At 39 years old, Bridget miraculously escaped with only minor cuts and bruises. She was taken to St. John’s Medical Center in Santa Monica for overnight observation.
These days, Bridget continues to keep a low profile and likes to avoid the limelight. However, her husband is quite often seen on the red carpet. Danny usually brings his son Oliver to premieres and other events.
In 2023 when she was asked if she’d return to Tinseltown, Fonda replied, “it’s too nice being a civilian.”
‘Unrecognizable’
Recently however, she was pictured at LAX airport with her 19-year-old son.
In the rare sighting, Fonda, who was bare faced, was wearing a black top with matching pants and an olive-green button-down shirt that she left open.
Also, the retired star’s left hand was noticeably bare of the wedding ring she’s worn in her 21 years of marriage to Elfman.
And, fans were quick to offer their comments on the scarcely seen star and her missing ring.

One netizen suggests her weight is the reason she’s not wearing her ring: “Maybe it just doesn’t fit anymore. She’s not the same size as when she got married.”
A second, surprised over her transformation, writes, “I know the 90s were a minute ago, but talk about going from 10/10 smoke to literally unrecognizable yikes!”
But many online users defended the actor, saying she’s a “beautiful human,” who’s aging gracefully and naturally.
“She looks beautiful, happy, and relaxed!! I’m happy for her,” pens one cyber fan. A second admires that she hasn’t fallen prey to cosmetic procedures: “She looks age appropriate, wholesome & healthy. Not everyone does the Karplastian look.”
A third writes, “She’s still super cute after all these years.”
Another referring to her apparent weight loss since the she was last spotted in 2022, about 20 years since she disappeared from the spotlight, writes: “Looks better…Perhaps Ozempic???”
A last netizen praises Fonda’s decision to leave Hollywood for her family:“I love that the Icon of our generation walked away from it all for family!”
Who knows, maybe Bridget Fonda will make a comeback? It’s never too late, and I would love to see her in a movie in the future.
