When I sent this photo to my husband, he said he was filing for divorce. Why?

I don’t understand. I sent my husband a photo, and now he wants a divorce. What’s wrong?

It was a normal day. My husband was away on business. I sent him a photo of a horse. I really liked the picture, so I decided to share it.

I’ve been volunteering at the stables for several months now. I enjoy it, and our family doesn’t need the money. My favourite is a black stallion named Grom. He’s the biggest, but very gentle and kind.

When my husband saw the photo, he didn’t reply for a long time. It turns out he zoomed in on the photo several times to look at something. Then he wrote back:

‘I’m filing for divorce.’

To be honest, I thought it was a joke, because he has a special sense of humour. But then he called me and asked in a very serious voice:

‘How long has this been going on?’

‘What do you mean?’ I asked.

‘Look at the shadow behind you in the photo and tell me the truth.’

Then I understood what had confused my husband.

Grom’s shadow formed a male figure. It looked as if someone was standing next to me and hugging me around the waist. But I was completely alone!

I felt very uncomfortable. I didn’t know how to explain to my husband that it was just an optical illusion.

No matter how much I tried to explain, my husband refused to believe me. He said he would file for divorce and didn’t want to hear anything from me. I am very upset that our marriage has been destroyed because of some stupid photo. I never would have thought that my husband would distrust me so much. Maybe divorce is for the best, because trust is the foundation of a harmonious relationship. I can’t restore his faith in my sincerity, so we will go our separate ways.
