Twins Chang and Eng were born in Thailand. The brothers were conjoined in the thoracic region.

Soon the brothers moved to North Carolina, where they began to lead a carefree and quiet lifestyle. There they met their future wives – Adelaide and Sarah.
The girls were very young – they were 16 years old. Parents forbade to marry Siamese twins, but feelings took over.
In 1843, they played their unusual wedding. Society, by the way, more calmly perceived this news, because the newlyweds could see that it was true love.
The sisters lived in different houses and took turns visiting their brothers. For decades, the women changed three after three days, creating the illusion of a happy family.
During this time, 21 children were born to the couple. Their descendants are still alive and proud of their ancestors, who became famous all over the world. And most importantly, despite their peculiarity, they achieved human happiness.
The brothers died practically at the same time. One of the brothers died of pneumonia, and the second died after him a few hours later. The heart was not half ready to live.
Since then, many people have remembered these brothers who lived a full life. They proved that it is possible to be happy no matter how circumstances turn out, because everything depends on ourselves.
