That is how many children Hope Suleiman from the United States of America gave birth to thirteen years ago. So far, this is the maximum number of children safely carried and born, and to this day, no one has ever surpassed her. Unique births lasted more than a day, so in the birth certificates of children are different dates. One more peculiarity – there is a dash in the column ‘father’, because Nadezhda got pregnant with the help of IVF.
The doctor who made such ‘wholesale’ fertilisation instead of glory then lost his licence because he and the patient did not understand each other. The doctor claimed that Nadezhda demanded to reproduce twelve embryos, while the future mum claimed in court that it was only about two. The guardians of justice accepted Nadezhda’s position and eventually banned the ‘benefactor’ from further work in the clinic.
The children were born healthy and soon met their older brothers and sisters, who by that time were already six – four boys and two girls.
Nadezhda raises all her children without fathers, they simply do not exist, so the mother of many children has plenty of problems. Nevertheless, she copes with them safely, although the family and causes mixed reactions from others, a lot of people condemn her for the desire to simply become famous and irresponsible attitude to children.
There were conflicts – broken windows of the house and car, insults, with this Nadezhda has to face quite regularly. The help of various charitable foundations is obvious, because, judging even from the photos, the children have everything they need for school and even – personal laptops.
Of course, they live quite modestly, but very friendly. The biggest hobby that brings Nadezhda and her children together is sports; every morning they run out for exercise, and from the outside their family looks like a real sports team. In addition, both for the sake of economy and health, they eat exclusively plant-based food, without the need for hamburgers and other products that are not at all conducive to health.
Fourteen children may be a lot, but neither ‘octo-mum’ nor her children think so. If in material terms the family does not lack stars from the sky, in the atmosphere of friendliness, respect and love for each other they are a model for many, ‘successful’ in the common sense of the word, families.
