The woman with four legs. A unique story with an unusual ending.

Myrtle Corbin had a very strange condition. The fact is that she was born with four legs. However, after seeing a photo of her baby, many people wondered why this had happened.

Some considered it a creation of nature, while others considered the woman’s peculiarity to be a real deformity. However, Myrtle was forced to come to terms with this phenomenon and tried to live a full life. Her diagnosis was dipygus. She was born with two pelvises and four legs. Her anatomical features did not prevent her from achieving professional success and becoming a beloved woman.

When she was 13, she became a participant in a travelling show. There, Myrtle appeared in public as a four-legged girl from Texas. Naturally, large crowds gathered, as people love anything unusual and rare. Thanks to her condition, the girl became a real star. She was so popular that other artists tried to parody her and came up with fake performances.

At the age of 19, the artist decided to leave the stage for the sake of female happiness. She married James Clinton Bicknell. By the way, there were rumours that she had not only two pelvises, but also two sets of female organs. Perhaps this was true, as Myrtle was able to give birth to five healthy children and led an active married life.

Everyone spoke of her as an intelligent and graceful woman with an incredible ear for music. She took care of the household and did not miss the busy show business life she had been involved in before her marriage.

In 1928, the four-legged woman died. She was almost 60 at the time of her death, and the cause of death was infection. Since her relatives were afraid that Murty’s body might be stolen, they were forced to fill the coffin with concrete and stand guard near the grave.

What do you think of this story? Do you believe that people with rare anatomical features can lead a full life?
