The results of the famous Italian contest amazed the whole world. The final awarding took place and Chiara Bordi was among the three finalists.
Even before the end of the contest Chiara was flooded with angry comments and speculations. According to haters, a girl without a leg could be taken into such a contest only for their feelings of pity.
At the age of 13, Chiara was left disabled (her left leg is missing up to the middle of the shin ). She was hit by a car and the limb had to be amputated. But even after that the girl did not give up her dream of becoming a model. With her prosthesis, the model can walk in any kind of shoes, even high heels.
Chiara is being filmed by Modelsof Diversity. This organisation is known for its special views on beauty. There are no ‘standard models’ on their staff.
The girl leads an active lifestyle, plays many sports (including roller skating), and now dreams of becoming an orthopaedic surgeon.
The model admitted that the main purpose of participation in the contest was not to win. Chiara just enjoys life and catches every happy moment. ‘I may not have a leg, but you don’t have a heart or a brain,’ she said.
