Losing a child is one of the most frightening events. And it doesn’t matter how old that child is.
Sylvester Stallone learnt that well. You probably know that in 2012, his firstborn died. The death hit the actor’s emotional health very hard.
Stallone’s ex-wife insisted weeks before his death that Sage was hesitant to have dental surgery. But did she have any premonitions?
For a long time, no one gave a cause of death for Stallone’s son. People thought that Sage died because of an overdose of drugs or alcohol. There was also a version of suicide. But the truth turned out to be even worse than all their guesses.
Hard times
It is difficult to imagine what Stallone had to go through after the death of his son, who died at the age of 36. However, even before that, the actor’s life was not simple.

And in 2012, he was found dead in his flat. The first person to see him was his housekeeper. And literally from that day various rumours about possible causes of death began to spread.
Confusion was also with the exact time of the tragedy. Some journalists wrote that Sage lay dead in the flat for several days, but these gossips were refuted. The fact is that Stallone’s son published a post 17 hours before the discovery of his body, so he was alive.
Some members of the press spread gossip that there were empty alcohol bottles in the room. This is why everyone started spreading the word that Sage died of a drug and alcohol overdose.
George Brownstein, a friend of the deceased and an attorney, brought clarity to the situation. He noted that Sage never consumed alcohol. And the empty bottles are Crème Soda bottles.
In addition, everyone says that his life was happy and fulfilling. There was no reason to commit suicide. Sage had no problems with illegal substances or health issues, so his death was not related.

What about suicide? It was unlikely, as there was no suicide note. Besides, Sage was getting ready to get married, why would he put himself on the spot?
Brownstein notes that Stallone’s son was not prone to depression. Yes, and he had no problems that could have prompted such a decision. And with money and emotional health, everything was fine.
Experts conducted special tests to find out what the cause was. Law enforcement made it clear that this is not a quick case, so we will have to wait.

Stallone was very worried about the tragedy, and the rumours related to his son’s death only brought him additional pain. He said at the time that the worst pain is losing a child.
Stallone asked that his family be respected and not spread unproven information. He hoped that the public would respectfully talk about his son, because he hoped for empathy and support.
Sage held a special place in Stallone’s life, because it was his firstborn. He was the centre of the universe, which is why the actor wanted his soul to remain in peace.
Soon it became known that death occurred due to dental surgery. His mother dissuaded him in every possible way from it, but Sage did not listen. Stallone’s son at one time removed 5 teeth, well, and then for a long time took pills to not feel pain. Two weeks after that, he was found dead. Autopsy results showed the cause of death was atherosclerosis. Most likely, this is the result of prolonged use of painkillers, but no overdose was found.

Path to the future
Waiting for the cause of death was very harrowing for Stallone. He said it was a grief-stricken time.
He tried to dive headfirst into work to forget and somehow live on. However, distracting himself from such intense grief was not easy.
Now Stallone has a son and three daughters. He can be proud of the fact that he was able to start life with a clean slate and not melt in his grief.
By the way, the second child Sirjoh is not quite healthy – he has autism. He lives in the shadow of stellar relatives.
