Shelley Duvall’s name is forever linked to the cult film The Shining, but in the 1970s she was also a style icon and the muse of director Robert Altman.
Although she did not possess classical beauty, her appearance was unique and unforgettable.

Recently, however, disturbing news about her has emerged: journalists found her in a mental institution. The actress claimed with conviction that Robin Williams, who died in 2014, was actually still alive and that she was looking for him.
She also said that there was a mysterious disc in her leg.

Journalists were shocked not only by Duvall’s statements, but also by her completely changed appearance.
Her once charismatic and elegant appearance had been replaced by a chubby, gray figure that was barely recognizable as the former star who was once admired as a fashion icon.

The actress herself had previously admitted that she had not imagined this fate for herself. “I’ve been in a lot of movies, so what?” she said bitterly.

Many believed that there was no way back into the film world for Shelley Duvall, but fate decided otherwise.

The actress, who was once found in a mental institution, now appears in new photos—and is almost unrecognizable.
