The absence of trousers in today’s catwalk fashion is considered by some to be a bold fashion statement and is provoking a variety of reactions. The origins of this trend can be traced back to the popularity of biker shorts, which have influenced celebrities’ wardrobe choices. One memorable example of ‘no trousers’ was at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in May 2023, when Irina Shayk drew attention with a transparent dress combined with underwear and a jacket.
