Sally Field’s worst kiss on screen may come as a surprise

I have always been a fan of Sally Field. She is a legend and a truly talented actress. During her rich career, the 76-year-old actress has had many on-screen romances.

Therefore, she has had her share of on-screen kisses. She recently shared which one was the most unfortunate, although at first she hesitated to admit with whom.

Considered one of the most versatile and talented actresses of her generation, Sally Field can look back on a fantastic career in Hollywood. She has charmed us with iconic roles in numerous films and television shows.

For example, I will never forget her unforgettable performance in Steel Magnolias and the funeral scene. Sally did an excellent job playing a woman torn between love, disappointment, anger and loss.

But, of course, she is also known for her roles in such famous films and series as The Nanny, The Flying Nun, Smokey and the Bandit, Forrest Gump, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Erin Brockovich.

Sally was born into a working-class show business family in Pasadena, California.

But her childhood was far from fairy-tale perfect. In her memoir, Sally wrote that her stepfather did very bad things to her, and at 17, she had a secret abortion.

Nevertheless, she turned out to be such a wonderful, humble person.

To this day, Sally continues to work regularly. In 2020, she played Janice in the series Dispatches From Elsewhere. In 2022, she will play Jessie Bass in the popular television series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, which chronicles the professional and personal lives of the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers team.

Therefore, given her active life, it is not surprising that Sally appears in interviews from time to time.

On Thursday, 1 December, on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, beloved star Sally Field decided to confess to the public about her worst on-screen kiss after being asked the question by a fan.

The 76-year-old Field looked around after the question was asked and laughed, ‘Oh my God. Do I really have to name names?’

‘I think you should,’ replied 54-year-old Cohen.

Field relented: ‘Okay. This is going to be shocking. Wait, friends.’

The Oscar-winning actress named her ex-boyfriend, star Burt Reynolds, as the culprit.

Cohen quickly followed up by asking, ‘But weren’t you dating at the time?’

Field explained that it was during the filming of Smokey and the Bandit that she had to ‘look the other way’ during filming. According to her, it was because ‘he just didn’t do anything special for you.’

‘Isn’t that something,’ Cohen replied in surprise.

The actress said that Reynolds was very ‘sappy’ during filming.

They met in 1977 during the filming of Smokey and the Bandit and dated for about five years.

Reynolds, who sadly died of cardiac arrest at the age of 82, recounted his relationship with Field in his memoir, But Enough About Me, according to the New York Post.

The star expressed regret about their life together and wished he had tried harder to make things work between them.

In March, Field explained to Variety that she had stopped communicating with Reynolds during the last 30 years of his life for a valid reason.

‘He wasn’t someone I could be around,’ she clarified. “He just wasn’t right for me in any way. After rethinking everything, he somehow decided that I was more important to him than he thought, but that wasn’t the case. He just wanted to have what he didn’t have. I just didn’t want to deal with it.”

Sally Field has always been highly regarded and respected. Absolutely top class!
