Milla Jovovich is a unique person. At the age of 9, she began her career on the catwalk, and at 13 she made her film debut, after which she became a true screen icon. But now the star has an unexpected but unquestionable rival — her own eldest daughter, Ever Anderson.
Strikingly similar to her mother, 17-year-old Ever is confidently following the same starry path, paving her way to fame as an independent actress and model.
The long road to family happiness
Milla Jovovich’s path to personal happiness has been thorny. At the age of 16, she had a short-lived marriage (annulled by her mother due to her minority) to actor Sean Andrews, which lasted only a month and a half. Her second, more high-profile union with director Luc Besson, who brought her worldwide fame, fell apart after five years.

True stability and love came in 2002 on the set of the cult saga Resident Evil, where she met director Paul W. S. Anderson. Despite mutual feelings, Milla did not immediately agree to marriage. Having gone through two divorces, the actress was afraid of serious commitments.

It was only two years after the birth of their first child, Ever Gabo Anderson (3 November 2007), that the couple finally formalised their relationship, proving that their feelings had stood the test of time and the birth of a child.

A calling that manifested itself at the age of 4
Ever Anderson knew what she wanted to do from an early age. At the age of four, inspired by classic television shows, she seriously asked her mother about auditions.

Milla Jovovich, who had gone through an early career herself, approached the issue thoughtfully, suggesting that her daughter first learn to read and then, a couple of years later, enrol in children’s acting classes to test the sincerity of her desire. Young Ever not only retained her interest, but also showed exceptional determination.
Like her mother, Ever began modelling at the age of nine, appearing on the cover of Vogue Bambini. She has worked with world-renowned photographers such as Karl Lagerfeld and Peter Lindbergh, who have noted her natural sophistication. In 2022, she caused a sensation at Paris Fashion Week by participating in the Miu Miu show.

In 2016, she made her screen debut in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, where she played two versions of the same character: little Alice and the Red Queen, the central artificial intelligence of the franchise. Despite her early starts and long shifts, Ever felt ‘completely grown up’ and responsible on set.

From the Red Queen to Wendy Darling
Today, Ever Anderson’s filmography includes four works, each of which demonstrates her growing skill.
In 2021, Ever landed one of her most notable roles yet — the young Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) in the Marvel blockbuster. Milla Jovovich, watching her daughter work, couldn’t hold back tears of pride, amazed by her ability to transform herself.

However, her breakthrough role came with her performance as Wendy Darling in David Lowery’s Disney adaptation of Peter Pan and Wendy (2023). Critics praised her professionalism, noting that Ever became ‘the emotional centre of the film,’ at times even ‘overshadowing’ the lead actor. Another project featuring her, Helvellyn Edge, is currently in post-production.
Genius and workaholic

Ever is well aware that the ‘Sword of Damocles’ of her parents’ fame hangs over her, and she tries to prove her right to the profession solely through her own talent. Her parents, Milla and Paul, proudly emphasise her incredible work ethic and organisational skills.

Ever successfully combines filming with her studies, practises taekwondo and speaks three languages: Russian, English and French. She is currently learning Japanese. The girl actively helps her mother with the upbringing of her two younger sisters, Dashiel and Oshin.

Milla Jovovich calls Ever her best friend and never ceases to admire her talent, sensitivity and determination.
Meeting Paul Anderson brought Milla not only personal happiness, but also gave the world an amazingly gifted heiress who seems to have been born to become a new Hollywood star.

Milla Jovovich achieved great success in modelling and cinema. However, she was unlucky in her personal life until she met Paul Anderson. With him, she found happiness and realised that family life brings only joyful emotions if the spouses truly love each other.
