Anyone who has had gorgeous or even strange patterns applied to themselves realises how easy it is to get addicted to new tattoos.
Once you decide to get one, you may soon get a second, a third, and possibly a fourth.
Melissa Sloan, 46, is known for having tattoos all over her body.
In fact, the mother of two has 800 tattoos, which allows her to consider herself ‘the most tattooed person in the world.’
You’re no doubt wondering how often Melissa gets tattoos, considering how many she has.
Well, the mum gets three tattoos a week.
However, despite enjoying her tattoos, Melissa’s appearance has affected every aspect of her life, from being banned from the neighbourhood pub to finding a job.
Melissa told the Daily Star: ‘I can’t find a job. I applied for a job cleaning toilets near the house where I live but they refused to take me because of my tattoos.”
“People say I’ve never had a job in my life, but I had one once, and that was for a short time.
‘If I was offered a job tomorrow I would go and work – I would take it.’
Melissa’s tattoos have also had an impact on her children’s lives, with the mum claiming she had to watch her children’s Christmas pageant through a window last year because she wasn’t allowed into the school.
‘No Christmas parties and when I come to my child’s school I’m not invited,’ she told the Mirror.
Melissa has also been banned from her neighbourhood pub because of her appearance.
However, Melissa claims she ‘can’t help it’ and intends to continue getting tattoos until she is 70 if possible.
‘Every bit of skin will be covered, even if I turn blue – my face is already blue – I look like a smurf,’ The Mirror reports.
However, Melissa may have trouble getting new tattoos as she has been banned from several tattoo parlours.
Melissa’s entire skull is covered in tattoos, but one layer was not enough for the tattoo lover.
It got to the point where she started applying ink on top of previous drawings, eventually covering her entire face twice.
In recent years, Melissa has even added a third layer, proving she holds the Guinness World Record for the most tattooed person in the world.
She stated: “I’m trying to get into the Guinness Book of World Records.
‘I have three layers on my face and I probably have the most tattoos in the world, and if I don’t, at the rate I keep going I probably will eventually – I keep going through them.’
