Luke Tiull lives in Iowa, the guy is 13 years old, but he has already managed to become a celebrity. The teenager is not like his peers, who are fascinated by modern novelties. Luke likes to build houses, this is what made him popular.
The young man is not by years talented, in the garden of his parents he created his own house, the construction of which took 1500 dollars. This house was his dream, he earned most of the money himself, and adults helped him build it.
In our modern times it is strange to see such a guy, so he is not into smartphones, iPads and game consoles. True, he has his own channel on YouTube, in his videos the boy tells about his great desire – to build a house for himself. He was preparing for the start of construction for a year, earned money by mowing lawns, making collections online.
During this time, Luke met a man. Who was good at electrical work, and he helped him install the electricity. In return, the guy helped him clean up his garage.
For the project, the young man used 75 percent recyclable materials, most of which he got for free. For example, he took a lot from his grandmother’s old house, and the doors were given to him by his best friend’s uncle. The dwelling has a total area of 8 square meters. Inside the house there is light, but there is no water yet, so there is no shower and no sink to wash hands and wash up. In his interviews, Luke admits that he likes minimalism, and also said that he dreamed of having his own house in order not to pay a huge mortgage for it.
On YouTube, the guy has a series of video clips detailing the history of the project, which attracted a lot of public attention. All this time his parents did not stand aside, helped not only in the construction, but also financially, although his father insisted that his son earned most of the money himself. According to the father, his child got a chance to get more in life than just playing games on the phone, and he did not miss it. This life lesson will stay with Luke forever.
The house turned out to be the perfect place for a teenager. It’s his personal space that he made with his own hands, where no one will get in the way of being himself. Inside there is a microwave, a loft bed, a TV, a desk, and even a place behind the house to roast meat.
After school, Luke goes to his house, does his homework there, and sometimes stays there overnight. The boy has a plan for the future, he plans to build a bigger house to live in when he goes to college.
