On 3 May 2007, a little girl failed, a case that has become known to many outside her year-old town of Praia da Luz, Portugal. According to reports, the last time the parents saw their daughter was when they put her to bed, and when the mother went into her room at 10pm, the daughter was no longer there.
The investigation lasted several years. The girl’s parents Kate and Gerry suspected a strange group of men, according to eyewitnesses, the girl was last seen with strange men.
The police even began to suspect the parents of accidentally killing their daughter, maybe they gave her sleeping pills and overdid it, causing their daughter to die and they hid her body. Then they faked a kidnapping to make it look more plausible.
But in 2008, suspicion was lifted from the parents, with investigating officer Bernard Hogan-Howe saying the case could soon reach a denouement.
It is expected that things will soon come to a head. The investigator stated that. In March 2016 something strange happened, there was an advert in a Paraguayan newspaper that someone local had spotted Madeleine. The parents had a chance again that they would see their daughter alive and unharmed.
However, so far there have been no real results. Her family has set up an official Facebook page where loved ones are asking all those who care to respond as soon as they see a girl who looks like Madeleine. The parents are still hopeful that their daughter is alive.
