Kai Madison Trump is the first child of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa, making her the eldest of Donald Trump’s 10 grandchildren.
Born on 12 May 2007 in New York, she was named after her maternal grandfather, Kai Evans, a Danish jazz musician.
The story goes that Vanessa went into labour at a charity event in the city, and Kai, impatient to meet the world, was born two weeks early — just like a true Trump!
Donald Trump Jr. was all smiles when he spoke to People magazine from the hospital, saying, ‘Everything is fine.’
As for Donald Trump himself, he was enthusiastic about becoming a grandfather.
‘I didn’t necessarily think about it, but it’s very nice,’ he told the New York Post after Kai’s birth was announced.
Kai grew up in New York and is almost the same age as her uncle Barron Trump — the difference between them is only 14 months — so they spent a lot of time together. A real Trump couple, right?
