As previously mentioned, Julia tries to keep her children out of the spotlight. But the multi-award winning actress sometimes speaks openly about her role as a mother. She also revealed that her children look a lot like her and their father, Danny.
‘And the thing is, we have these three human beings that totally reflect our affection for each other,’ she said.
To spend more time alone with her children and perhaps to avoid the Hollywood paparazzi, Roberts moved out of busy Los Angeles and settled in San Francisco, in a more diverse neighbourhood.
She did this to be away from the spotlight and to raise her children in a more relaxed environment. Speaking to Closer Weekly, a friend of Julia’s said she ‘wanted her kids to have the experience of living in a city with a different energy and atmosphere.’
‘Her kids are not the kids of film stars in San Francisco where no one cares who your mum is,’ the insider added.
As her kids have grown up, keeping them out of the spotlight has become increasingly difficult. Or maybe it’s just that Julia has a different perspective.
On their birthday on 17 November 2021, Hazel and Finneus received loving birthday greetings from their mother, who posted a beautiful retro photo. Danny also shared a sweet birthday greeting for the children.

Hazel is Julia’s only daughter and for a long time little was known about her. But recently, more and more photos of Hazel have been made public and many people are surprised at how similar mother and daughter look.
Except for Hazel’s blonde hair, she is an exact copy of her mother, right?
Not only that, but Hazel seems to have inherited her mother’s heart of gold. Julia once revealed that Hazel, who was 12 at the time, decided to cut off her hair to donate it to Wigs for Kids.
‘It’s a big deal for a girl who is about to turn 13 and has cascading blonde hair that is often commented on,’ Julia told InStyle in a 2017 interview.
“But she’s so good and brave. She sees it as something different.”
In 2021, Hazel gained attention when the stunning blonde made her red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival. Hazel attended the festival alongside her father, who was there to present his film Flag Day.
According to Etonline, 16-year-old Hazel wore Mary Janes shoes and a ‘90s style yellow lace shirt dress with butterscotch-coloured buttons’.
