Sir Paul McCartney, the famous singer known for his work with The Beatles, was recently spotted with a bundle while on holiday with his wife Nancy Shevell on the island of St Barts. Despite global travel restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 78-year-old musician appeared to be enjoying his annual holiday in the Caribbean.
Despite his approaching 80th birthday, McCartney continues to show off his youthfulness by experimenting with new hairstyles. His wife Nancy, for her part, looked fashionable in a pink top, brown fedora and large sunglasses.
McCartney and his Beatles colleagues became known for their unique hairstyles throughout their careers. In particular, McCartney wore his hair long for most of his life.
In 2018, McCartney made a lot of noise when he decided to stop dyeing his hair and embrace his natural grey colour, a significant departure from his long-standing red hair. His recent ‘wispy’ hairstyle is a testament to his constant pursuit of new looks.
McCartney had a hectic holiday season, including a trip to St Barts and the release of his new album ‘McCartney III’, which he composed and recorded during his isolation. During a promotional interview with actor Idris Elba, McCartney mentioned that he didn’t plan to record the album during the isolation, it all worked itself out.
He stated that everyone cleaned out their wardrobes and accomplished everything they set out to do. For him, making an album was a similar experience. ‘I had no intention of making an album. I had ten songs and I was thinking, ‘What am I going to do with them?’ I didn’t realise I was actually making an album, so I just recorded ten tracks.’
Paul McCartney explained to Elba that he chose the title ‘McCartney III’ because it was a logical choice given the solo nature of the project and its connection to his previous solo albums, ‘McCartney I’ and ‘McCartney II’. He realised that he had played his first two albums in a similar style, so it made sense to call the new album ‘McCartney III’. This realisation helped him realise in which direction he wanted to take the project.
