I took this photo during a storm. And you know, that moment has stayed with me for the rest of my life.
I’ve seen a lot in my life. But that day was special for me. It surprised me not only with the power of nature, but also made me realise that we are part of it.

At first, I didn’t feel anything special. I stood on the shore and watched the wind drive the clouds away. The waves gained strength and crashed against the shore with a roar. There was an incredible energy in the air — as if nature was preparing for something special. At that moment, I just wanted to take a photo, because I had never seen the ocean in such a turbulent state.
A few minutes later, something happened that I will remember for the rest of my life. It even changed my view of the meaning of human existence. Lightning appeared on the horizon. It was unusual. The flash lit up the sky so brightly — as if a new sunny day had dawned after a dark night.

Then I heard thunder. It was a real roar that made my chest vibrate. At that moment, I felt the incredible power of nature — it penetrated every cell of my body. It seemed as if the whole planet was talking to me with this sound, demonstrating its power.
I even took a few steps back. No, I wasn’t afraid. I did it out of respect for her. At moments like that, you simply begin to realise that humans are the smallest detail in the whole world around us. However, at that moment, I also realised how happy we are. We can hear and see the harmony and beauty of nature in different states.

When I looked at the photo I had taken, I realised that nothing could convey the emotions I had felt when I saw the storm. Millions of people admired the result of the work, the power of colour and the might, but I got more. I was there and enjoyed the smell of the salty wind, the cry of the seagulls and heard the roar of the ocean waves with my own ears.
That moment made me realise how important it is to appreciate every moment. We often forget how much we actually have. Nature is beautiful in its wildness and rebelliousness, but people are so busy with their affairs that they miss it. Sometimes you just need to stop and look at the beauty in all its details.
Ever since then, when a storm begins, I stop and remember that very storm with my eyes closed. I become a person who is lucky enough to be part of an amazing world and try to blend in with nature.
It is very important not just to look at nature, but to feel it. At such moments, one can realise the beauty that surrounds humanity. One just needs to listen, look and understand. Do you agree?
