Farewell to a legend
Alain Delon was buried on 24 August at his estate in the commune of Souls, next to his beloved dogs. He chose the site himself and had a chapel prepared for him on private property. The prefecture went along and authorised the funeral at this location.
According to his last will, Delon wanted to be buried with his dogs, of which he had 35. The actor even mentioned that he wanted his sheepdog Lubo to be put to sleep after his death so they could be buried together. However, Delon’s heirs decided not to honour this wish, despite his request in his will.
