Bruce’s wife Emma Heming also published a post on social media to celebrate her husband’s 70th birthday and posted a picture of the star on a quad bike.

She wrote: ‘Today is Bruce’s birthday and if there’s one thing I know, it’s that there’s no bigger fan than a Bruce fan.

‘So today surround him with all your love – he’ll feel it, I swear he will. You guys are a strong team. I love that you rallied for him and I’m so grateful he has you.’

Bruce married Heming in 2009 and the couple had two daughters, 12-year-old Mabel and 10-year-old Evelyn.

Earlier this week on Tuesday, Rumer opened up about her father Bruce Willis just a day before the star’s 70th birthday.

The ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ actress opened up about the actor’s health in retirement during a Q&A session on her Instagram stories.

In February 2023, Bruce’s loved ones revealed that he had been diagnosed with frontal temporal dementia – a year after he ‘retired’ from the acting profession due to his struggle with aphasia.

In one clip, a fan asked the child’s mother: ‘How’s your dad doing?’ and Rumer replied: ‘He’s doing great, thanks for asking.’

She then added: ‘He’s actually turning 70 tomorrow, so please wish my dad a happy birthday.’

Last February, Rumer also opened up about how her dad was doing during an interview with ITV and said the family had ‘rallied round each other’.

She shared, ‘He’s doing well. I think like a lot of people in California, I think we’re all more scared of the fires than anything else and we all want to make sure everything’s OK.’

‘Because my family, we’re all so close, I think the beautiful thing about how we support each other, [it’s] so sweet because we really are one’.

Rumer then praised Bruce and Demi’s relationship even after they divorced after 13 years of marriage.

Emma added: ‘So today, surround him with all your love – he’ll feel it, I swear he will. You are a strong team. I love that you’ve rallied together for him and I’m so grateful he has you.’

Earlier this week on Tuesday, Rumer spoke about her father Bruce Willis just a day before the star’s 70th birthday

‘I think what I’m most grateful for is that even when they broke up, they created such a beautiful foundation where my sisters and I came first, that I never had to choose and they never feuded with each other.’

She also said that ‘we were a family and we remain a family no matter what…..

‘And not only did I feel that it helped me create such a great foundation for my own family, but now as I work on co-parenting, I feel deeply grateful for the example they set for me.’

Earlier this month, Bruce’s wife Emma revealed the shocking call she received from a ‘very famous doctor’ while she is caring for the retired actor who is battling dementia.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘A very famous doctor called me the other day to tell me that a relative of his had just been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at a young age.

‘And they have three children, ages 10, 12 and 14, and he needs all my resources, any contacts. And I was like, ‘What?’

Emma continued: ‘And I have contacts and nothing makes me happier than being able to be helpful and support the next carer, which I was happy to do.’

‘It just blows my mind why our doctors don’t already have a list of ways to support carers?’ – the mum-of-two asked her followers.

‘Another thing that really upsets me is when I get messages from families whose members have just been diagnosed with frontal temporal dementia or some other type of dementia and they ask me for resources’.

Earlier this month, Bruce’s wife Emma shared a shocking call she received from a ‘very famous doctor’ while caring for a retired actor battling dementia. It happened in 2024 in New York City

‘I’m not even in the same state as them, in the same city. It’s very difficult to pass on those resources, unless it’s to the Frontal Temporal Dementia Association or something like that.’

Heming added: ‘But that’s like saying they need to do a better job. Doctors need to do a better job. Doctors do need a roadmap, just a little bit of support.’

She also shared a video on Instagram last month to celebrate National Carers’ Day.

Last October, Emma opened up about his struggle with dementia and said she doesn’t ‘hide’ the diagnosis from her daughters.

During an interview for Town & Country Magazine, Heming explained: ‘This disease is misdiagnosed, it’s overlooked, it’s misunderstood.

‘So finally getting diagnosed was key so I could find out what frontal temporal dementia is and tell our children about it.’

Emma added: ‘I’ve never tried to sugarcoat the situation for them. They’re used to Bruce fading over the years. I’m not trying to shield them from that.’

Emma said she would not let ‘Tourette’s syndrome ruin our whole family. Bruce wouldn’t want that,’ adding that she hopes to help “the next family”.

‘I learnt from our therapist that if children ask questions, it means they are ready to know the answer. If we saw that Bruce was having a hard time, I would talk to the kids about it so they would understand, but this is a chronic, progressive and incurable disease.’

Heming told the publication that their children typically ‘don’t discuss the ultimate side of it with them, and they didn’t ask.’

The Golden Globe winner told the publication, ‘We’ll always be a family, just in a different form.

‘It’s never been a question for me. I show up because that’s what you do for the people you love,’ Moore added.

She then explained, ‘I hope it inspires others to see that there’s another way to do the right thing. Life after divorce goes on. There is a way to raise children together with love.’
