Being 285cm tall didn’t stop the man from getting married and becoming a father. What did this unusual family look like?

When the father realised that his son was growing intensively, he had to increase the ceilings. He just didn’t fit in a normal house!

Not only that, but this giant had an incredible appetite. He could eat two dozen eggs, 8 loaves of bread and several kilos of meat in a day. Not to mention fruit and desserts!

It is clear that many girls were afraid of him, because his height really embarrassed others. And then he met the love of his life, whose height was 180 cm. It was this woman who gave birth to a man with five children. In this publication you can see a photo of an unusual family.

This man’s name is Fedor Makhnov. He was born in the middle of the 19th century and became the tallest person in the world. His maximum height is 285 cm.

In childhood, Fyodor was not particularly different from his peers. But after 8 years, relatives noticed too intense growth of the child.

At the age of 14, Makhnov was already more than 250 cm. Two years later, a German circus agent drew attention to him and offered to sign a contract. He was sure that Fedor had great potential for a career in the industry.

He was paid for his labour with clothes, food and a small salary. However, Fyodor did not want to work in the circus, so he lasted in this job only until 1903.

In his hometown, Makhnov bought a plot and a house to start from scratch. He really wanted a family, so he gave up his circus career.

It is clear that it is not easy to find a woman with such a height. Everyone was scared off by the man’s height, but Efrosinya Lebedeva became the only one who accepted his peculiarities and fell in love.

Over the years of marriage, they became the parents of five children. By the way, despite the heredity, the growth of the children did not exceed 200 cm.

An interesting fact is that Fedor always ate a lot. Yes, and drank no less – about 2 litres of tea. To sleep normally, he ate a loaf of bread in the evening, more than a dozen eggs and washed it down with just a litre of milk.

The giant’s life was very short. At the age of 34, Fyodor died of a lung disease.
