Jesse has wanted to be in the military since he was a kid. In 2003, he joined the Marines, but 6 years later while serving in Afghanistan, he was caught in the middle of an explosion. Doctors had to amputate both of the guy’s legs.
‘I was conscious the whole time,’ Jesse recalls. – It was hard, first of all, morally. But my family supported me all the time. Thanks to the sincere support of my relatives and faith in the best, I was able to get through it all.’
Jesse has embraced his new body and has learnt to lead an active lifestyle even without his legs. He met his future wife Kelly at a swimming competition. They immediately fell in love with each other and were soon married
When the couple shared their wedding photos on Facebook, they drew widespread admiration. People from all over the world expressed words of support and delight to the young couple. But the lovers do not see their situation as anything special.
