It’s hard to believe that Madonna is already 66 years old. It seems like the Queen of Pop was born only yesterday, and she has been delighting millions of people around the world every year since.
Madonna is currently on her long-awaited Celebration Tour, having recovered from a nasty bacterial infection that left her hospitalised earlier this year.
Recent snaps of the Like a Virgin singer have sparked widespread approval among her fans, as the 66-year-old singer continues to prove that age is just a number… and that she’s far from being an outstanding force in the music industry.
Fans were right to be concerned this summer when Madonna was suddenly hospitalised.
The first reports were quite alarming, but it soon became clear that her health problems were even more serious than first thought.
The Queen of Pop was set to kick off her much-anticipated Celebration Tour in Vancouver on July 15, which would have seen her perform her greatest hits from 1983 to the present at 53 concerts across North America and Europe, but was forced to postpone it after she was urgently hospitalised with a bacterial infection.

According to initial reports, Madonna was found unconscious on Saturday, 24 June and was subsequently taken to a New York City hospital where she was intubated.
Shortly afterwards, a relative of the Grammy Award winner told Entertainment Tonight that her family had been ‘preparing for the worst’ after the initial news broke. ‘For the last few days, no one knew which way things were going to turn and her family was preparing for the worst,’ they said.
‘That’s why everything has been kept secret since Saturday,’ they added. ‘Everyone believed we could lose her and that was the reality.’
Radar Online, meanwhile, reported that Madonna’s hospital stay was more difficult than first thought – medics who treated the unconscious star in her flat reportedly had to administer a NARCAN injection.
Thankfully, the singer was eventually released from the hospital and was able to continue her recovery at home. Her aforementioned Celebration Tour is now in full swing, and the Vogue star has received a lot of praise for her appearance after posting a series of photos from the tour.
Madonna’s Paris leg of the tour has reportedly attracted particular attention, with fans showering her with compliments. One even called her ‘the most beautiful woman in the world’.
One person wrote on Twitter: ‘How does this woman look at sixty-five? Please share your secrets with us and your filter. KING?’.
Another wrote: ‘You look like a woman of 35.’
A third added: ‘The most famous woman ever to stand in front of a lens. Still the most exotic, most seductive woman I’ve ever seen ❤️?’.
Celebrity fashion designer Donatella Versace, meanwhile, praised her long-time friend, calling her ‘the most beautiful’.
