They fell in love with each other and got married in 1962. All people who knew the couple said that they were very kind, peaceful and insanely happy.
Their marriage was so beautiful that they lived in harmony not only with each other, but also with all their friends and acquaintances. Janet and Winston Howe were together for over 30 years.
Sadly, in 1995, Janet died of a heart attack. This death was devastating for Winston.
Despite the fact that they had been married for 33 years, he was still in love with his beautiful wife.
As a token of his love for Janet, Winston decided to plant 6,000 oak trees on a farm located in southwest England. With this gesture, he wanted to show that love was still alive. But Winston kept his act a secret and never told anyone, not even those closest to him.
But one day in 2012, 17 years later, that secret came out. Andy Collett had recovered to fly in a hot air balloon. As he soared over the treetops in a forest in southwest England, an amazing picture appeared before him.
Among thousands of majestic oaks, he saw a small heart-shaped clearing surrounded by trees.
“You can imagine a love story like that. I have my own hot air balloon, I fly it quite often, but this was the most amazing sight I’ve ever seen,” Andy told the Daily Mail.
Winston revealed that the heart points to the farm where Janet grew up.
“It’s a beautiful extension of our love that will remain here for centuries to come,” Winston told the Daily Mail. He also revealed that he often visits the clearing where he just sits and remembers his Janet.
