A man who left his wife after 47 years of marriage begs her for forgiveness on his knees a few months later.

A ‘ruthless’ wife taught her husband a harsh lesson after he left her for an affair with a young brunette.

‘Divorce? John, tell me you’re not serious! What did you say? You want a fair share?’ Nikki exploded, staggering on her chair when her husband announced that he was ‘tired’ of his monotonous life and wanted to live freely.

John smirked:

“Oh, Nikki! As if you didn’t expect this. Come on. We both know there’s nothing left between us. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life moping around with you. I want to live. As a free man. And I’ll find someone — beautiful and chic… not a dead goat like you! So yes, I’m divorcing you.

‘And you think I’ll just let you go? No way, John!’ Nikki snapped. ‘You want to live as a free man, huh? Well, listen: I won’t sign the divorce papers, and you won’t get a penny, let alone some “share”!’

‘You can’t do that, Nikki! If you don’t sign willingly, I’ll make you do it so you have no choice!’

Nikki laughed:

“Oh, poor Johnny! What are you going to do? Bring your mistress home? Those young girls you’re fooling around with won’t clean and cook for you like I did, John! I took care of you for 47 bloody years! I raised our children on my own while you were sleeping on the sofa, drinking beer and hanging out with your friends. And you think you can just walk away? Never!

You can’t escape karma.

‘Well, then,’ said John, glancing at his watch, “it looks like I have no choice. I’m leaving for Mexico in an hour. And I think I’ll be there for six months. All the reservations have already been made. And yes, I’ve spent almost all of our savings from our joint account.

‘We’ll see if you sign the papers willingly or if you’ll languish in poverty and beg me for money. After all, what can a penniless housewife do? Have a nice time, dear,’ he said mockingly. ‘And I’ll enjoy life in Mexico!’

‘What?! How could you… Those were my savings too, John! How dare you spend them without my consent?!’

“I knew you’d make a scene about the divorce, Nikki. That’s why I planned it all!

With that, John went to the bedroom, packed his things and left the house, leaving the divorce papers on the table.

‘If you don’t want to reap the fruits of your stubbornness, sign them as soon as possible. Otherwise, your life will turn into hell!’ he said as he left.

Nikki burst into tears as she watched John leave. Yes, he had never been the perfect partner, but she had recently found out that he was sleeping with young girls who didn’t want a serious relationship — just a one-night stand. And now he wanted to get rid of her.

But Nikki didn’t want a divorce. After her children — a son and a daughter — grew up and moved out, John was all she had left. Even after finding out about his infidelities, she kept quiet, hoping that everything would work out. But no — John announced that he wanted a divorce.

But this time she decided: ‘No, John! You won’t get away with it that easily!’

Three months later…

Nikki was sitting in the living room, sipping raspberry tea, munching on chocolate chip cookies and glancing at the clock when the doorbell rang. Her jaw dropped when she saw John standing on the doorstep.

‘What are you doing here? You’re supposed to be in Mexico!’

‘Oh, Nikki! Please forgive me!’ he pleaded, falling to his knees. ‘I was wrong! I shouldn’t have left you!’

Nikki was stunned:

‘John, what happened? Calm down, okay? Let’s go talk.’

They sat down, and John began to tell her his story:

“I met a young girl, Madison. She was beautiful, and I thought she loved me. We spent two months in Mexico… But she turned out to be a con artist! She stole everything from me — my money, my belongings! We lived in her modest flat. I cooked, cleaned, did everything for her. She had two children, and I even babysat them because I thought she loved me. But every night…” He cleared his throat.
“We didn’t even sleep together because the children were always coming in, and she found excuses to leave. She promised to marry me, but it was all a lie… She just wanted my money!

‘Oh my God!’ Nikki gasped. ‘That’s awful… Just awful…’

She had just started talking when the doorbell rang again.

‘Just a minute, John. I’ll see who it is,’ she said and went to the door.

‘Who is it, Nikki? … What are you doing here?!’ John froze when he saw Madison on the doorstep. ‘Nikki! It’s her! She robbed me!’

The women exchanged glances and burst out laughing.

“Well, John! Meet Mandy. Or, as you used to call her, Madison. My friend’s daughter. A single mother with two children who helped me gather evidence against my unfaithful husband! I warned you that you would regret this! I found the hotel where you were staying through Facebook and contacted Mandy. This whole thing is a trap, dear. And I’m so glad you fell for it!

‘What?!’ John exploded. ‘You set this up on purpose? You’ll regret this, Nikki!’

‘No, John,’ Nikki shouted. ‘You’ll regret it! Pack your things and get out of my house!’ And yes, I’m filing for divorce, you bastard! And I’ll make sure you don’t get a penny! Now get out of here! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!

John gathered his things and left, muttering something under his breath. Nikki didn’t care what it was.

She thanked Mandy for her help, and the women enjoyed a cup of raspberry tea on that chilly morning, laughing at how well their plan had worked.

A few months later, John and Nikki were officially divorced. Their children, upon learning of what had happened, supported their mother and condemned their father for his behaviour.
