Many people like to get body modifications such as tattoos to express their individuality. However, there are also those who are completely against such things. Kerstin Tristan was one of such people until 2015, when one incident changed her opinion forever…

Kerstin Tristan, 56, is a mother and grandmother. But her hobbies go a little beyond what is considered the ‘norm’ for grandmothers. She is into the art of body modification, mainly tattoos.
At the moment, her body is covered in tattoos completely, and to reach this level, she had to spend a lot of money. But she wasn’t so much into tattoos before. In fact, she admitted that before 2015, she outright hated tattoos. What changed her attitude towards it? It happened the same year she got her first tattoo, which completely changed her perspective on the art.
‘I just wanted to try something new. We all only live once, so I thought at my age there should be something real,’ she shared.
Since 2015, she has spent 30,000 euros (about $32,000 USD) just to modify her body with tattoos. But luckily, she has received a lot of attention and love because of her actions.

Her Instagram account has over 190,000 followers and her TikTok videos have racked up millions of views.
She is not shy about showing off her looks! She posts pictures showing off her whole body on Instagram. But she didn’t always look like this, just a decade ago she didn’t have tattoos and looked very different. Sometimes she posts before and after photos so people can see this dramatic transformation.
The German Influencer has images of bright roses on her legs, a leopard print tattoo on her shoulders and several detailed portraits on her arms. These tattoos are just a fraction of the many others on her body.
She loves how she looks now, saying, ‘When I look at myself in the mirror, I see a beautiful field full of flowers to love.’
And she’s not the only one loving her new look. One fan wrote: ‘Beautiful work of art.’ Another person wrote: ‘Wow, awesome photo.’

Self-expression is not something that should end with age. On the contrary, Kerstin is a wonderful example that age shouldn’t determine how you choose to express yourself to the world. What do you think of her tattoos? Share your opinion in the comments.
