When it comes to expressing love for another person, there is simply no better occasion than a wedding.
By definition, the union of two bound souls is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and people usually go to great lengths to make the day as special as possible.
And while we’re sure you’ve all enjoyed unforgettable wedding days (if you’re married), we just have to take a look at one particular bride and what she did to show her deep love for her husband.
Sometimes there are moments at a wedding that will make anyone tear up, and this is one of them.
Liz Shoesmith and her husband Scott live in Caringbach, Australia and communicate with each other using sign language. Scott is deaf, so when their wedding day came, they had to do without some things.
Of course, that didn’t stop the lovers from planning every last detail so that they and their guests could enjoy the perfect day. They did everything together, except for one thing that Liz had prepared as a surprise for her future husband.

When the big day arrived, Liz stopped at the end of the aisle instead of joining Scott at the altar. But, don’t worry, it wasn’t due to last-minute nerves.
In fact, it was far from it. Liz was getting ready to perform. The song ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri was playing, and Liz was dressed in a beautiful white dress adorned with silver patterns.
When the lyrics came on, Liz signed them for her husband. Every gesture was done with determined grace-she’d been practicing for a long time.
As for Scott, it took his breath away. He wept as he watched his beautiful bride show her immense love in the most fitting way.
Liz told Love What Matters: ‘I’m not going to lie, I was scared going into the ceremony. But once I met his eyes I never looked away and it was a special moment just for the two of us. He held it together for a few seconds and then cried throughout the song. He’s re-watched the video hundreds of times and still cries every time!
At the end of the performance, Liz joined Scott at the altar and her husband led a standing ovation from loved ones for his talented bride.
Scott may not be able to hear the world the way others can, but the spectacle Liz put on will be one he can remember forever.
Tears came to my eyes. What an incredible gesture on Liz’s part.
We wish Liz and Scott happiness in their marriage. If you do too, please share this article
