This house looked like it was about to fall apart. The house in York, Pennsylvania built in 1887 has been abandoned for many years. Designed in Queen Anne style, which was very popular from roughly 1880 to 1910 which features a lot of delicate brick detailing, contrasting trims, large porches, and lots of beautiful decorative details. Until someone saw its potential and decided to restore it to its former glory.
The house was a total disaster.
Fortunately, someone had given it a second chance.
Now the house looks much more inviting in these olive green, terra cotta red, and gold colors.
Just look how the front porch has changed!
The inside of the house has been restored. Some things were saved with restoring and some were replaced, when there was no other chance.
Wood floors consist of five types of wood. Pocket doors, period lighting, hardware & door hinges have been added, but true to style of home.
