If you want to get your adrenaline flowing in the best way possible then I would suggest water slides any time of the day…but only in summer and spring. Most of these slides are made in some inventive ways: they can be tall and straight, curved while bringing you a leisurely ride or they can take you right under an aquarium. Overall, there are some really crazy water slides out there… TRUST ME. And within this countdown, we are listing 5 MOST INSANE Waterslides YOU WON’T BELIEVE Actually Exist! Lets begin!
1. X-Treme Faser – Galaxy Erding, Germany
This one has certainly lived to its name. X-treme Faser water slide in Germany is 220 feet long and has gotten its riders to a speed of over 45 miles per hour. It is not devoid of injuries as its victims list has a number of people. It is labeled ‘’only for the brave” and “men only” for security reasons. Some women are not allowed because there’s something about their anatomy that makes some susceptible to danger. So far, the waterslide has injured 6 women because of its intense speed, drops and use of water. Some good news though: they are working on making the waterslide safer and available to everyone. But before that happens, make sure you book yourself a trip to ‘Deutschland’ for the most intense ride of your life!
2. Summit Plummet – Blizzard Beach, Walt Disney World
Every kid in the US grow up wanting to go to Disney Land, and with good reasons. One of the main stopovers for these kids is the Summit Plummet water slide at Blizzard Beach in Walt Disney World. It is called plummet for a reason. With a height of 120 feet and top speeds of around 50mph for kids and 60mph for adults, you will definitely get your adrenaline fix with this water slide. The initial drop is almost 90 degrees and you can peer over the edge to see what is in store for you. Some riders even momentarily float above the actual slide since the drop is so steep. I’ll let that sink in!
3. Verrückt – Kansas City, Kansas, USA
The Verruckt in Kansas City is a monstrously tall and wide water slide. Compared to the statue of Liberty, the Verruckt is taller going to a height of 168 feet. It may seem like it takes forever getting to the top of this slide but the climb is totally worth it. You will enjoy a drop of over 60mph as it sends you and 2 other friends down in a 3-person raft. Once you go down the initial drop, the raft cruises back up a 55-foot hill and back down the other side. If you are looking for the tallest water slide on the planet, the you definitely have to come here!
4. Insano – Brazil
This slide is not for the faint of heart. It was a world-record holder for the world’s tallest water slide at over 130 feet tall…. that’s like 14 story buildings. When you get up there, you get a chance to enjoy the beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean, before you plummet down the initial drop at a speed of 65 miles per hour. Imagine, going down the freeway, racing with other cars at that speed. Whoa! I can already feel the adrenaline rise!
5. The Scorpion’s Tail – Wisconsin, USA
The Scorpion’s tail is part of the Noah’s Ark Water Park in the heart of Wisconsin Dells. It is 10 stories tall, 400 feet long with all its curvatures. The first drop will rocket you to a speed of 50+ feet per second. With this speed, you can go around the nearly vertical loop that is unique to this slide. The Scorpion’s tail will take you through this trip with a lot of ease and insanity. There is SO MUCH to see on that 70-acre water park, it’s incredible.
